Ethnic Understanding’s 2005 Spring Benefit

The Foundation for Ethnic Understanding, under the leadership of Rabbi Marc Schneier, President, and Russell Simmons, Chairman, presented the Joseph Papp Racial Harmony Awards on Wednesday, March 16th at the Fifth Avenue home of Denise Rich.  The New York Spring Benefit and Reception celebrates and honors individuals and corporations for their efforts to strengthen interethnic ties in the community.

Honorees presented with the Joseph Papp Racial Harmony Awards were Charles  Goldstuck, President and COO of BMG-U.S., Hal J. Upbin, Chairman and CEO of Kellwood Company, and Reginald Van Lee, Senior Vice President at Booz Allen Hamilton. A Business Leadership Award was presented to Donny Deutsch, President and CEO of Deutsch Inc and Jimmy Khezrie, President of Jimmy Jazz was awarded The Foundation’s Community Service Award.  The awards were presented by Rabbi Schneier and Russell Simmons.
