2010 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day/Black History Month Commemorations

Thursday, January 14th

12:00pm- Rabbi Marc Schneier will be speaking at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Service at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan

 

1:30pm- Rabbi Schneier will speak at the 1000 Ministers' Luncheon of the 13th Annual Wall Street Project Economic Summit sponsored by Rainbow Push and Reverend Jesse Jackson, Sr. The event will be held at the Sheraton Hotel in Manhattan.

 

7:00pm- Rabbi Marc Schneier will keynote at the 8th Annual Greater Long Island Jewish Community Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Celebration at Temple Israel of Lawrence.

 

Saturday, January 16th

The New York Synagogue will present its annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day commemoration. Rabbi Schneier will be joined by Marc H. Morial, President and CEO of The National Urban League. Cantor Netanel Hershtik, The New York Synagogue Choir and The Galilee Gospel Ensemble will offer a musical tribute to Dr. King's life.

 

Sunday, January 17th

Rabbi Marc Schneier will speak in Boca Raton at the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County's largest volunteer event in its 30-year history, "United We Serve South Palm Beach County" in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

 

Monday, January 18th

Rabbi Marc Schneier will be speaking in Harlem at the National Action Network's annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Event hosted by Reverend Al Sharpton.

 

Thursday, January 21st

Rabbi Marc Schneier will be the keynote speaker at the Crown Forum, the premier Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. event at Morehouse College in Atlanta. Click here for more information.
