Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day 2006 Commemorative Ad

In commemoration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day held on January 17th, 2006, The Foundation for Ethnic Understanding compiled and published the Fourth Annual MLK day commemorative advertisement in partnership with United Jewish Appeal – Federation of New York and the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York. The program involved compiling listings of MLK day lectures, concerts and film screenings from various synagogues, Jewish cultural and community institutions, day schools, elder care facilities and Jewish community centers in the New York metropolitan area, and placing full-page ads in major ethnic newspapers. This year the ad included 35 such events and appeared in the Forward, Jewish Week, Jewish Press, and for the very first time the Amsterdam News.
