Join the Soul to Soul premiere at the Jewish Museum Heritage at 2pm.


Acclaimed musicians honor the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr., with Yiddish melodies and evocative blues tunes. Featuring Lisa Fishman, Magda Fishma, Elmore James and Tony Perry. Conceived by Zalmen Mlotek, NYTF’s artistic director, and internationally recognized authority on Yiddish folk and theatre music.Headlining the concert are some of the most exciting performers from the New York stage. Lisa Fishman has performed throughout the U.S. and Europe, singing and recording with several of the Country’s top ‘Klezmer’ bands. Magda Fishman is the Cantor at Temple Beth El in Stamford, CT and is one of the most sought after performers of Jewish music nationwide. Elmore James, a veteran of five Broadway and numerous international opera productions, and singer, songwriter and recording artist Tony Perry.
