New York Winter Benefit Honors Leaders

The Foundation for Ethnic Understanding, under the leadership of
Rabbi Marc Schneier, President, and Russell Simmons, Chairman, presented the
Joseph Papp Racial Harmony Awards on December 13th. The presentations took place with over 100 people in attendance at the Helen Yarmak International Showroom in NYC. The New York Winter Benefit and Reception celebrates and honors individuals and corporations for their efforts to strengthen interethnic ties in the community.

Receiving the awards were: Anna Anissimova, Philanthropist and Business Executive, Joey Low, Founder, Israel at Heart, and B. Smith, Chairperson & Chief Creative Officer, B. Smith Enterprises, Ltd. The Joseph Papp Corporate Diversity Award was accepted by Ron Whitley on behalf of Cushman & Wakefield, Inc., the world’s largest privately held real estate service firm.

We encourage our colleagues and patrons to frequent B. Smith’s restaurants in New York City, Washington, DC and Sag Harbor, NY.
