Fifth Congressional Staff Luncheon
“Diversity on the Hill”

On April 27, 2005, The Foundation for Ethnic Understanding held its fifth Congressional Staff Luncheon on Capitol Hill, in Washington, DC. The topic of the staff forum was "Diversity on the Hill." Edie Fraser, President and CEO of the Public Affairs Group, Inc. and nationally recognized expert on diversity practices, was the guest speaker. Congressman Elijah Cummings (MD-D) addressed the gathering and spoke about the profound need to expand diversity practices in Washington, DC. The event was attended by The Foundation’s Executive Director, Lawrence Kopp and over 70 staffers representing the Committee on House Administration, the House Judiciary Committee, the House Ways and Means Committee, the Congressional Black Caucus, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus and the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus.
